Introduction
The Environmental Analysis Center (EAC) is an open-access,
user-operated laboratory at the California Institute of Technology.
The EAC is based in the Environmental Science and Engineering
Program, but is open to all Caltech researchers. Analytical methods
available include Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography, Liquid
Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Inductively-Coupled Plasma
Mass Spectrometry, and Capillary Electrophoresis.

Acknowledgements
The EAC was established in 1991 with a generous grant from the
Bank of America Foundation. Grants for instrumentation have also
been received from the Callahan Foundation and DARPA. Continuing
support has been provided by the Division of Engineering and Applied
Sciences, the Beckman Institute, and professors within the Environmental
Science and Engineering program.
